In addition to 'Pathways to Write', we will be continuing to follow our 'Pathways to Read' scheme.
Within 'Pathways to Read', every lesson focuses on a specific reading skill (e.g. predicting, inferring etc.). Reading VIPERS explains the key reading skills very clearly. Click here for more information.
Please try to read as much as you can, each day if possible. Reading books can be returned to school when you have finished reading them and exchanged for a new one
Take a look at the '50 Recommended Reads for Year 5' in 'files to download' at the bottom of the page. How many have you already read? Why not set yourselves a challenge to read one new book every month?
