Pathways to Write

Autumn 1: Queen of the Falls

This half term we will be reading 'Queen of the Falls' by Chris Van Allsburg. The outcome of this unit will be to write a series of diaries about significant events in Annie Edson Taylor’s life.

Children will also be focusing on developing their punctuation and writing through the use of adverbs and fronted adverbials, rhetorical questions and the progressive and perfect form. 

 

With each new writing style we encounter, we will focus on: planning, drafting, writing, editing, proof-reading and publishing our work.
