Maple and Beech Morning Classes Weekly Spellings 2024
Weekly Spellings Maple & Beech Morning Class
On this page you will find the spellings that your child will be practising in school each week. Every child should ensure that they can spell the tricky words listed in the first column as these are used most frequently in their writing. These tricky spellings are words that can not be segmented (sounded out) easily as they do not follow the usual letter-sound patterns.
It is very important that your child writes their spellings down when practising them at home rather than just saying the letters out loud.
Your child should also attempt to master the spellings listed in Challenge 1 each week. If they can do this easily, they should then try to spell the words included in Challenge 2.
